Laser Pilot MTR HS

The Laser Pilot-HS provides the following benefits:

The Laser Pilot-HS system determines the joint position 50 times per second and provides corrections at this rate. The Laser Pilot-HS system is proven in tailor welded blanks at speeds up to 20 metres per minute and on car bodies at speeds up to 8 metres per minute.

Laser Pilot-HS is a complete laser seam finding and tracking system for laser welding. Each system can be configured depending on user requirements and consists of:

• Robust laser sensor head typically 5 or 10mm field of view.
• Sensor mounting plate (water cooled mount is optional).
• Camera cable connecting the sensor and control box (10m standard, up to 50m optional).
• Small control box with panel mounted on/off switch.
  
• Video monitor (optional)
  
• Laser Pilot Tools programming software and hand held pendant.
  
• High precision DC motorised slides (used with MTX-HS).

The Laser Pilot control system uses a single processing board. All software required for system operation resides on a flash memory device. Programming the Laser Pilot is made simple by a Windows based software package called Laser Pilot Tools.

Laser Pilot Tools is provided on a CD and is used on a lap top or PC connected to the Laser Pilot system with a serial lead. After system installation and when programming is complete, settings are saved onto the processing board and Laser Pilot Tools is disconnected. This protects settings during system operation.
